New Year New You

Hey readers! It’s been a minute. I just want to start off by saying that if you have made it this far THANK YOU SO MUCH for taking the time to stop by and check out my blog. It means the world to me. This blog is everything to my soul and I am making it a point to get on here as often as I can to write. I can’t believe I’ve been gone for so long. Writing is so therapeutic to me and being able to share my thoughts and ideas with people all over the world is just mind-blowing. This is truly a great time to be alive.

I’m coming to you today with a blog post about new beginnings in the year 2019. It’s currently 5:40AM central time as I am writing this. I guess I just had a lot on my mind lately and feel like I need to get it out on paper, well virtual paper. I have so many dreams and aspirations for the new year. I can’t share everything that I have planned but to name a few I want to focus even more on my health, increase my physical activity, write a book or two, get my certification in something really really cool (can’t spoil it yet!), and continue to work on my side hustles of course. Just to name a few. 🙂

I wish I could express how excited I am and driven to achieve all of these things. As I’m sure most people with new years resolutions are. Often times, when I set all these goals for myself the excitement, is immediately followed with fear and doubt. Negative thoughts that tell me “Oh, you probably can’t do it. You’re not driven enough, you don’t have enough time.” It’s completely normal to have these thoughts come up but the constant battle between telling that part of me to “Shut the hell up.” And continue on with the cheerleader side, “You got this! You are amazing!” is exhausting.

The struggle is normal, I get that. Sometimes it can feel like fighting with myself is going to lead to utter destruction. So I think my plan going forward will be to keep working and surround myself with music, people, and things that make me feel inspired, encouraged, and driven. That’s all I really can do. I’m going to say a prayer that one day I prove that part of myself wrong, the part of me that lacks faith. This new year as much as it is about achieving goals I think a big part of it is self-improvement. This I can tell is going to be a neverending thing because I always think there’s room to be better and do better and know more.

But that’s the thing that makes us great right? Some of the smartest and most successful people out there became obsessed with their craft. They wanted to know all about it and stopped at nothing to do just that. I’ve been listening to Gary Vaynerchuk a lot lately, he’s amazing. I’m sure most people know who he is by now or at least a lot of those that want to be successful and one day own your own thing that you can be proud of. His content is amazing and he is such a good motivator. Highly recommend his Instagram, Twitter and YouTube if you are interested. He really tells it how it is. And honestly, the sky’s the limit seriously.

I think I’ve done enough rambling but I just want to say that I hope everyone has been having a good 2019 so far. I hope everyone is figuring out their new dreams and goals and smashing them or maybe just getting the idea in their head to smash them. We are only 17 days in at the moment and it is truly unbelievable how quick time flys. Let’s make good use of our time, be productive and manage our days as best we can. We got this!

I am thrilled to share with you and create for those who enjoy hearing about my journey. I truly have some awesome stuff coming your way. Lots of ideas and energy flowing in this head of mine. Can’t wait to grow with you in 2019. Much love to all.

xoxo,

Jordan
